Stephen Moore
Stephen Moore is an economist at FreedomWorks, an advocacy group based in Washington, D.C. His columns have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, The Washington Times, and National Review, where he is a contributing editor. In 1999 he co-founded the Club for Growth and served as its president until 2004. Moore is also a former member of the Wall Street Journal editorial board, has worked at the Heritage Foundation as chief economist and as a senior economic analyst at CNN, and spent 10 years as a fellow of the Cato Institute.
Moore advised two presidential campaigns including Herman Cain's in 2012 and Donald Trump's 2016 campaign. Along with Larry Kudlow, Moore advised the Trump administration during the writing and passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which was passed into law by Congress. As senior economist of the U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee, Moore was said to be "instrumental" in creating the FairTax proposal.
